INTRODUCTION | BOOK:TALK
Welcome to BOOK:TALK! We are a book club for UoB students as part of PROJECT:TALK Bristol mental fitness society.
We want to encourage our members to read in order to help stimulate the mind and reduce stress. We'll be meeting every month to discuss the chosen pick but there's no pressure on finishing a book in time. Whether you're here to meet fellow book lovers or just for the friendly atmosphere, we're excited to meet you.

We're running the club on the first Monday of every month. At the moment it's at the Clifton Community Bookshop with the help of a really nice lady who donates extra profits to Studio Upstairs - art therapy charity, but we're also considering moving it to the SU Living Room we will keep you updated!

THIS MONTHS BOOK | The Rabbit Back Literature Society by Pasi Ilmari Jääskeläinen
Only nine people have ever been chosen by renowned children's author Laura White to join the Rabbit Back Literature Society, an elite group of writers in the small town of Rabbit Back. Now a tenth member has been selected: a young literature teacher named Ella.
Soon Ella discovers that the Society is not what it seems. What is its mysterious ritual known as "The Game"? What explains the strange disappearance that occurs at Laura White's winter party? Why are the words inside books starting to rearrange themselves? Was there once another tenth member, before her? Slowly, as Ella explores the Society and its history, disturbing secrets that had been buried for years start to come to light...
The club meeting will take place at the Clifton Community Bookshop at 7pm on Monday 6th December.

Mental Fitness Books
Join us each month, as we read one book about little things we can do to increase our mental fitness, and watch a film which boosts our mood, makes us think, or just lets us have a break from our busy work schedules and have some chill time!
